Mekong River, Savannakhet, Laos.

Hey lads, an old french saying: "The Vietnamese plant rice, the Cambodians watch it grow and the Lao listen to it grow", welcome to Laos! Today we just got to Savannakhet (what a nice and mystic name) and the feeling is like, ufff what a relaxed and laid-back country, specially after Vietnam!. Laos is known as one of the last quiet countries on earth. We enjoyed a superb sunset next to the mythic Mekong River while eating some street food and drinking Lao beer (considered as one of the bests in the world), what a perfect arrival, isn't it?
All the best!

Hi lads !!! it's good to hear from u, i imagine that u must enjoy it!!! Was in Laos few years ago... i really enjoyed Vang Vien and Luang Prabang, the road trip between the two places was really good with amazing scenic view in high altitude... especially from the roof top of the bus.... Take care !!! Yvonnick
