It could not be better down under here!

Hey guys! It has been a long time with no news but we have been extremely busy with the team. It has been a fantastic experience to share part of our trip with them, and we could not thing of a better place than NZ to hang around with them.
First of all, you must know that the gods, or whatever, have been playing on our side. Since we got to the South island we have been spoiled with 10 sunny days in a row. Unbelievable but true! It is so unusual taking into account that it is winter time; we did not see any cloud or whatsoever!
We got a chance to explore the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers under the sun and got taken aback with its stunning beauty, all a perfect combination of green rainforest, blue sky and white to blue ice. From there we drove down to Wanaka and Queenstown, two small towns with plenty lively après-ski atmosphere, too posh but with wonderful surroundings. Both cities are located in a valley with snow-capped mountains around. There we did a few walks up the hills.
Next destination was Milford Sound in the Fiorland National Park. Hey lads, one of the best places we have seen in NZ, if not the best! It is a fiord in the South West, very isolated, and the scenic road to get there is terrific, superb! It was 120Km where we grab loads of opportunities to take photos and climbed the snow-covered Key Summit (919m) from where the views, again, were mind-blowing!
The day after we got on a cruise through the fiord, just imagine, vertical stone walls up to 1,200m on each side, waterfalls up to 160m dropping down abundant water and green vegetation. Again stunning!
Next destination was Kaikorua, up North in the South island, yes, a bit of a mess in the timing and planning, but the 4 travel companions were looking forward to seeing whales. So we did loads of Km to get there, and jackpot! We spotted them, 4 whales!!!!!!!!!!!! That was really special! A unique experience! We got very excited!
And that’s it lads, we dropped them (the team and the motor-home) today at Christchurch airport, and uffff, was not easy! Very emotional!
This road trip has been a pleasure, and other than some freezing nights, down to -6, some speeding fines and scratches on the motor-home all has been excellent!
Next plan, we just know that in two days we will be visiting Jamie and Emma in Westport. After that we will head up north to the Abel Tasman National Park and relax for a few days before facing the cruel world of working….May be….
All the best!
