Hey lads! Our last days in Australia were great! After another road trip with a camper we got to Sydney and enjoyed it for free!
We left Melbourne heading to Wilsons Promontory National Park where we spent a couple of days and got mesmerized with its absorbing beauty and plentiful natural life. We did different walks around and spotted big kangaroos, wombats, many awkward birds, a deer and so on...
It took us 3 days to get to Sydney and more than 1,000Km through the East Coast. Unluckily a big storm followed our steps and we had torrential rain and strong winds for 3 days.
Once we got to Sydney we had to manage to find a spot to park our camper in the middle of the city, and we did guys! We settled down in Bondi, a thriving neighbourhood by the beach, we even had views to the sea and a park in front with toilets, not bad... We were frightened that someone would complain and got us kicked out but did not happen! On top of this, we spoiled ourselves and finally went out for a few drinks, or more than a few taking into account the day after hangover!
Sydney is a fantastic city, awesome! Its harbour boasting the city landmarks; the Opera House and the harbour bridge is stunning. We took our time to appreciate it during the day and at dusk. It seems a really civilized city, spotless and proud of himself. We did not feel under stress at any moment, the city is huge with plenty space, wide streets and greens areas. Definitely the quality of life of its citizens has to be good. Hey, and we were brave enough to drive to downtown and cross the famous bridge! Was a short stay but intense!
We bade farewell to Joan which was not easy and made us feel empty in a way. Our days with him have been excellent and shared many unforgettable moments!
We flew to New Zealand on Monday and we are all ready to explore it!
All the best! Love!
