From the "Fine city" to Bali.

Hey lads, here we are again facing the challenges of a new country; Bali, Indonesia. We left Singapore behind last Saturday, our 3 days there were great and managed to see almost all the main attractions. Singapore is like where East meets West, more than Hong Kong. It is a really clean, organized and quite impressive city mixing modern skyscrapers and trains with relaxing and charming neighbourhoods like Chinatown or Little India, our favourite place without doubt! The city is popularly known as the "fine city", reason? The pressure over their citizens is harsh, they can get fines for littering, smoking in public areas, piracy, jaywalking the streets, chewing a gum...just to mention a few! And it really works, the city is spotless...
As soon as we arrived to Bali we decided to escape from Kuta, the most touristic place and headed to the capital, Denpasar, straight from the airport. It is a city that barely sees tourists
wondering around. However we thought it had some character and nice temples to check even though it was quite messy and noisy. It's definitely a good entry port to Bali and its impressive culture!
Today we got to Ubud,the cultural capital and center of all the Balinese arts, where we will be staying in a really amazing and nice place (thanks again to Blarney people!). It is such a special place, the owner itself is an artist, a talented painter and a really spiritual gay who already started to teach us some tips about the local language and culture.
We are looking forward to getting lost around Bali, so during the next days we will be driving around the island for a week with a Suzuki Jimmy! which will allow us to travel independently. The plan?, No plan!...well just climb a volcano or two...
